My Son I love you so much..but you also drive me crazy.
You do the exact opposite of what I tell you to and then when I catch on and think I am being so sly you again do the complete opposite!! All the while looking at me with this sweet grin on your face!!
One second I am soo red and ready to explode the next your touching my arm saying "I love you sooo much mom" then you melt my heart!
What ever will I do with you...you are a three year old with an attitude of a 14 year old...makes me wonder what I have to look forward to at that age!! (God Help Me)
You know exactly what to say and what to do. I guess it's a gift. Daily the Lord shows me what an awesome man of God you will be if you have this determination and ability to have such an inquisitive mind.
I love you and thank God for you and pray for the wisdom and strength to make it trough another day with you....You make me work in every way possible. I realize that sometimes it's not you that has to be a good boy but it's mom that has to put herself down and let God show me.
My little man I love you with all my heart!! I will not give up because I know that God is in control and that I am raising a future man, husband and father.

Book of Colors

This project was for Evan but Mia was so excited that
she made one too.
Basically it's just paper lunch bags and you make colored
tabs and you find some
magazines and find colors. you can either work on one
color a day or however you
want to introduce them. With Evan I did one color
at a time and he had fun
cutting and playing I spy with
it!

Counting/Sorting with Chocolate

Found this box of candies at the Dollar Tree and was going to
use for movie night and instead the kids were asking for something to do. So I
made a little sheet and told her to sort by color and then count. This was such
a huge success my little man went right along with it...I guess when you have
something to look forward to you will do what is necessary!! lol...Anything for
chocolate!

We also use the garage I have a folding table set up to do the messy stuff but this room has been a blessing!!

So I found myself overwhelmed with how much is available to homeschoolers! I love all the ideas and awesome stuff that people are using so I was looking for the right thing that would work for my kids and let's face it for me since I was going to be the one teaching it!

This is the kids first year at Awanas and I am proud!! They are doing so
good
they have already memorized five bible verses and their theme song and
motto!
When I first signed them I thought "Oh nooo what did I just sign
myself up for"
but it has been sooo easy!! Evan who I thought for sure there
is no way we are
memorizing these and let me tell you it comes so wuickly to
him!! I love it and
I recommend it. There are over 400 kids and I thought
this might be overwhelming
to my kids but they have really enjoyed it! This year is turning out to be so exciting for our family! New things to try and experience and the best part is we can do it together! Have a blessed day!

Letter Uu and Ii

I have been soo busy that I have not taken any pictures of our school

I found these and they are of Mia holding her umbrella that she made and

Well my little sweet pea keeps impressing me more and more!! She is

She got on this rope and hung on and giggled loudly

Hearts Desire Beach

This Beach was soo perfect for the kids there were no waves to worry about crashing into them. They were able to explore and have some fun with Randa and Jazz. We even saw JellyFish...oh yeah that was great! If you have a kayak this is a great place to go...people had those and some small boats and it was just great! It's located in the Point Reyes National Seashore..This place is totally amazing...there is a few different beaches within park..It was an adventure just to get there....

First Day of Kindergarten.....

My Sweet Pea started kindergarten July 18th and she was so excited I on the other hand was totally in shock it seemed like just yesterday I was praying and asking the Lord for a little blessing!! The Lord blessed us with our little Mia six years later. And here we are today five years old and startin school....Next it's prom right!

Well she has done very well...with that being said Mia will be coming home to be homeschooled by me!! God Bless us all...I don't understand it but God does and well I will obey and stand aside and see the blessings that he has for all of us as we start this Journey...So stay tune for "First day of Kindergarten Part II"...lol

Small World Park

I am trying to catch up and I am realizing that I don't even remember going
to some of these places...wow my mind is going, going gone!!!

This was at Small World Park located in Pitsburg this place is great
because it is sooo cheap!! There is only like two rides and rest of it is park
area that they get to run around and be crazy!Which is exactly what my kids like
to do!

Swimming Lessons

The kids took Swimming lessons with Mrs. Jones...she came highly recommended
and so we went for it! By the third day Evan was swimming soo well and at
home
he was swimming accross the pool! I couldn't believe it he hs such
determination
it blows me away! Mia did very well also, she held her breath
beautifully and
the sweet but stirn ways of Mrs. Jones helped her to really
get comfortable in
the water. Mia being the cautious one wanted to stay to
the side of the pool
while Evan wanted to just dive for toys and jump off
the diving board.....four
weeks later we had ourselves swimmers. We prayed
that Mia would grow more
comfortable in the water she had such a fear that
we knew to let it go and she
will do it in her own time...The blessing to it
all is that we have the pool at
home so we are able to practice everyday!!
and believe me they did!!

We Moved!

We moved in June and our new home has a beautiful

lanlords are two amazing people and I Love them! So

We went to the Academy of Science and let me tell you it was such a nice place and filled with soo many things to look at. In fact I was overwhelmed with what to take a picture of that I only took a few!! :) My son was in and out of a funky mood as you can see in the pictures! But all in all we had an amazing day!!

Soccer Time

The kids started soccer and it has been so much fun!! Ev is soo excited but when it comes down to it he doesn't want anything to do with stretching and practice he likes to go straight to the game!! This is going to be very interesting!! I love that he is my well rounded kindaf guy...he wants to do all the sports and you will catch him everyday on my coffee table with the guitar strapped around his neck saying "it's time for worship mom!".. I love the new stage my kids are in I am just soaking in all the fun!!

So I bought this cute little set at Michaels for like $.99 I was going to be cute colored sand to go with it but completetly forgot. So instead I had a big box of Kosher Salt and that's what we used!! They didn't know the difference. This kept them occupied forever I tried putting it away like three time and everytime they were like "No please mom I'm not ready" I love it! When we were done I put all in a ziploc bag ready to use again!

Counting Books

I decided we should make counting books so that we could better understand each number...and not to mention the fact that IIII LOOOVVEE me some stickers!!! So here is the stickers my sweet pea picked out!

I made the books from some leftover scrapbook paper and just glued it together with a glue stick....nothing fancy! We created a 1-10 and a 10-20.... she was able to the rest herself! Mia likes to take these to bed with her and look at what she created!!They turned out super cute!!

Clint said he wanted to do this craft with her the other night and I
thought "okay , yeah sure!!" Well this morning he was on it got everything
together and they made the heart craft. Mia was so happy, she just loved her
daddy doing this with her!

*Cut up heart and glue or staples them
together.
*Fill with plastic bags (2) to make it puffy!
*cut up tissue
squares what ever color.
*take a pencil wrap the tissue on it dab into glue
and place on the heart.
*you can add to both side or just one.
*Add a
ribbon to the top and hang!

Here is a picture of our cereal box puppet show..we made our
puppets from our fingerprints and it was a lot of fun to hear what the kids
acted out!! This was a fun activity I actually found this on someone elses blog
...can I just tell you that blogs are becoming my obsession!! :)

We went to the park and so the kids made up some game something
to do with Narnia and this is some of the pictures I was able to get
before my batteries ran out (of course) The kids are doing great with
school..it doesn't have to be a sit down lesson for them to learn!
Almost on a day to day basis I ask myself what am I doing, But the Lord is good
and always shows me I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing!! Thank you
Lord...

My sweet friends birthday was on Thursday and we decided
to
wait until Saturday to surprise her.....well she felt completetly sad
because
her family was so into it that on her actual birthday not a whole
lot was done!
In fact I couldn't get a hold of her to wish her a Happy
Birthday!
Saturday she still had no idea in fact she was over at my
house in the
morning and I talked about my date plans with Clint and she had
no cluE!! hehe!!
(i love it!) So when she showed up at the restaurant her
face was
priceless...she was so surprised we all blessed her with gifts that
were so
perfect she just sparkled!!!! I love this I wish I was rich so that
I could do
this for peoples birthdays all the time! The night was wonderful
and she felt
sooo special!!!!She truly is an amazing
friend!

My little man turned 3 I just can't believe it!! We had a great day

four of us..he woke up to see his room completely decorated
with streamers and
got to have his favorite breakfast and even went to a
special dinner at Chuck E.

Christmas @ Grandmas House!

This CHRISTmas was so
wonderful...the kids were able to understand more about
Jesus being born and
how special that was for all of us. How much he loves us and all about being
blessed and giving to others. They had a great time
really getting into
prayer time and praying for loved ones that are really
struggling this year.
What a wonderful season for them this has been. The best
part was being able
to go down south and see our family! This was Mia's wish and
she did not
give up on it she asked me everyday if we were going she was
relentless..as
always! So we said yes and off we went.

It was so wonderful to
have
my kids spoiled by their grandparents isn't it just beautiful to love like
a
child..they taught me some great lessons in the four days we were there. They just
love on everyone just because... no strings attached!

My greatest gift was to see
my sister it had been a year since I had seen her..she's a junior in high school
and
she looked so different! I missed her the moment we drove away and
headed home!
My prayer is that she can come see us! She is my only family
besides my mom and
I was like her mom for the first 9 years of her life so
she's like my first
daughter!

Christmas is over and tomorrow
is New Year's eve the Love of my life
has to work :( but that's okay I will
see him next year! haha! I will be
thinking of him all night... all that has
happened this year and how much he does
for us! Thank you Lord for a year of
so many blessings, specially the three best
blessings you could have ever
given me!
p.s. My friend is a baker and
she brought us this amazing cinnamon twist bread
before we left at 5 :30 am
and so we turned it into french toast on Christmas
morning! Thank you Boss

Okay, so I do this all the time I find a song that I totally love I will sing it all the time and then one day out of the blue the words just BAM hit me and I'm in awe of what the song is really about... anybody with me on that..probably not I know I'm a total DOrk!

! Anywho this song is by Sanctus Real it's called "Whatever You're Doing" and it is totally awesome!! Seriously I loved it before because it had some cool parts and now I think it's great! So if you find yourself struggling with something in your life, something that is bigger than you, take the time to sit quietly and listen to these words. MOments that Change you...

Have you ever had moments where your life changes in an
instant...the way
you feel about things ....the way you see things...your
priorities are all of the
sudden shifted....this has been happening to me a lot.
And I'm not sad or stressed
about it, it is alll GOOD! I love how the Lord
is working in my life! First let
me tell you about my beautiful girlfriend
Jaime, I have known her since 8th
grade and we have remained friends she
called me a couple of months back and I
heard the words " I have to tell you
something, and no I'm not pregnant" I
instantly knew what she was going to
tell me was going to change me...then she
said.."Karla, I have Leukemia"...I
was completely silent and just cried!!! That
moment changed me and I
promised myself that I would be the best friend I could
possibly be and not only to
her but to all those around me!!! Now she lives in So. Cal
so I couldn't just
hang up and drive and give her a hug...I had to send her hugs and kisses over the phone and tell her how much
she means to me..that I will be there for her to do whatever
I possibly
can...!!! She is doing great and her spirits are high... I just Love her so
much for always listening and just being the sweetest friend ever!
This moment changed me.....

Saturday afternoon I got a call that my mom was evacuated from her apartment
complex and that literally when she left the hill outside her door was in
flames!! Now all I could do was pray and send out calls and emails to pray
for
them..... I have not spoken to my mom since October of last year and
have
been in complete prayer for her the last two weeks not only myself but
others
and so getting this phone call I knew ...Thank you Lord you provided
the
way....I made the phone call and they were okay, in shock and not really
knowing
what to think but none the less calm and in good spirits. I spoke
with my
precious sister(15) who after not talking to her for a year sounded
exactly like
me on the phone...wow ..weird!! As of tonight they are staying
at a friends
house and they are not allowed to stay at their place. They
were able to get
what they could out within a time frame and that was it. (I
sit here and
wonder...what would I get if this was me???)This people changed
me...life is so
short, things can happen in a blink of an eye and most
importantly Family is
more important than stuff!! Lord again you have amazed
me....I can't wait to see
how this will turn out but for now we sit

will provide for her the support that she needs....It

Pasta Fagioli in the Crockpot.....

Okay, so last weekend I made this great recipe...Pasta Fagioli it's
just
like the one at Olive
Garden but better!! Here is the Recipe..

--1 pound lean ground beef, browned and
drained
--1/2 large red onion, chopped
--1 cup carrots, chopped
--2
celery stalks, sliced
--2 cans (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (and juice)
--1
can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
--1 can white beans, drained and
rinsed
--4 cups beef broth (check label for gluten!)
--1 jar (16.5 oz)
pasta sauce
--2 tsp oregano
--1 T Tabasco sauce
--1/2 tsp
salt
--1/4 tsp black pepper
--1/2 cup dry pasta, to add at end of
cooking time

The Directions. Use a 6 quart or larger
crockpot, or cut the recipe in
half. This makes a lot. Brown the meat on the
stovetop, and drain well. Let it
cool a bit. Chop up the carrots, onion, and
celery. Add it to the empty
crockpot.Drain and rinse the beans, and add
them. Add the whole cans of
tomatoes, and the pasta sauce. Add the beef
broth. Add the salt, pepper,
oregano, and Tobasco sauce. Stir in your meat.
Cover and cook on low for 8
hours, or high for 4. When the vegetables are
tender, stir in the 1/2 cup of dry
pasta.Cover and cook for another hour on
low, or until the pasta is tender. It
will swell quite a bit.Serve with a
bit of parmesan cheese if you have
it.

The week of Harvest Celebrations went so quick that
literally my head was
spinning!! While trying to celebrate and fight off
head colds the Kids really
did have an amazing week!!

At Our First
HaRvest Celebration we found some Princesses, Mermaids,
Fairies.........

There WaS a cute little Flapper Girl......(Even Though
they didn't feel to

I had a Harvest Party Boutique Sale at my house
today!!!!! The Party was put on by Mia and her partner in crime Miss
A. The girls took Mias dresses
and hung them on her desk and then carefully displayed stuff. On a different
counter which I did not take a picture of there was even a cash
register.
They said ......"we are having a Harvest Party and we are
going to sell all this stuff there....It's going to beautiful!!" Can you say entrepreneur's in the making!! They
even had some cute things to say about all the items so that Daddy would buy
them!! It was a fun day!! I didn't get a picture of the girls they were busy
baking things for the bake sale for the "Harvest Party"!

This weekend was so amazing ladies..Let me tell you why.. I went to a
women's
conference that I wasn't feeling up to going but Guess What... I
went!! Why because I
was being held accountable!! Man when you put
the
word out that you need to be
held accountable in order to do things,
people
really step up to the plate and
take charge :)!! Believe me I
really need
that.... it seems like I can talk
myself out of just about
everything! Anyways, back to the conference.....let's
just say that it was wonderful
it was about Seasons as some of you know...the
women delivered the
messages
just perfect and the worship was wondeful!!.....All those women
praising God
together it was Beautiful!!!

The best part for me
was that I had
a very dear friend who decided last minute to
go...she is struglling
right now and everything that these
women
talked about was like if they were
directly speaking to my friend. Now let
me tell you it did not stop at this
conference..... the next day at
church the same thing
happened...Oh my Lord
you ARe Amazing!! You are So
Loving and you guide us right when we reach out
limit and we throw our hands
in the air and say "I can't anymore Lord Show me
your will".... my friend
was completely
filled with the Holy
Spirit!!!! She looked so
peaceful that it was just flowing out of her. I
was sooo Happy for her that
I wanted to shout it from the roof tops, ( okay
maybe just from my
seat) How mUch the Lord had done for her!!!!!

I have been so blessed by her and all that she has shared and gone
through... You know what has blessed me is her strength and just her focus on the Lord... she has been standing firm and not wavering even when I would have already broken......Praying with her and just being there to listen and in the quiet times weeping.... it has all been a blessing!

So ladies....
when we have friends that are struglling with something in
their lives and we go
to them and encourage and pray with them. Be
prepared to be completetly BLessed by watching God's Mighty hand
work
in that situation.... I can't wait to be
at the other side of this
season in
her life with her and to see all the Glory that the
Lord
will Have!!

Smith's Family Farm

I love Autumn! The chill in the air, the colors around us are just so beautiful! We have been going to the Smith's Family Farm since we moved here which is three years ago. We always have a good time and this year with the high winds and all we had a really good time!
I love the age my kids are at right now they can do more things, they are understanding more....they are just a sponge wanting to soak up as much as possible every moment!!
So these last two months have been amazing the Lord has shown my husband and I what things are truly important and it was time to step up to the plate and do as he has told us to........ He wants us to be obedient about all things and one of those we struggle with is money.
Now I know I'm not alone on this one but when I finally felt that we had lost all control of it we asked for his wisdom and through it all He loves us and wants to see us do good. So here we are month two of a very strict budget and we are surviving it!!!!!!!.... The Lord has blessed every moment and my husband is so amazing. He is such a wonderful provider for our family not only with his job, but by how much he loves the Lord, the wonderful husband that he is and the father that he is to our kids!....... Amazing!!
Thank you Lord for giving us the wisdom and getting us back on track!

A day of Exploring......

After a long week of Daddy working, Friday was going to be a fun day! So Mia said she wanted to go exploring....so we decided to go to the San Jose Discovery Museum! Can you say FUN!!! Okay I totally fell in love with the place, there was so much to do and my kids age wasn't an issue they got to do everything. If you haven't made it out there I recommend it! And just when we thought it was over there was a whole room upstairs for toddlers! Hellllo way cool!! We ended the trip with Mia and I making a corn husk doll which I must tell you is very easy and totally fun!!

We went to this cool class that teaches you how to speak to
an audience, and how to be an audience. It was really good I took Mia just
so that she could see and I really didn't go into details with her what it was.
So when she was sitting there she realized that you have to go on stage and you
saw her little face start to get a little red and you could tell that her little
brain was thinking!! Her little friend was there to and so she wanted to
go up but with Mia with her.
So here they are her friend said a bible verse and then Mia got really
shy. Miss Nikki really did her best to make her comfortable but Mia was having
nothing to do with it. These two pictures tell you exactly how she must have
been feeling!! I love my Mia!! She is my little sweet pea and I just look into
her eyes and I just get so happy to think about all that God has for
her.
Tonight in the car she asked me if mommies and daddies die then
do the kids have to find somewhere else to live? So I talked to her about
it and then she says "mamma are you and daddy going to die? okay , Lord give me
words to speak. It was such an amazing moment to make the Lord more
real to her!!! even though the question caught me off guard.
Enjoy those car rides, that is when the conversation could be very
fruitful!

Mia had her first Tennis Class on Thursday I was so excited for her not only to play but to be motivated and encouraged in the Lord by her Coach. Of course she had to have the cute tennis outfit and we found the perfect one in her dresser it finally fits her for so long it was to big! Some piggy tails and she was ready.....

An hour and half later and she was still perky and totally excited! Oh thank you Jesus! We had already been playing tennis at the high school because Hello it's FREE!!! I think this really helped her feel comfortable. I think it also helped that her friend who she totally looks up to was there! When she got in the car she turned to me and said "mamma I really liked it and I actually listened!" I love it when she calls me mamma!

I can't wait to see how much she has learned at the end of the six weeks! Can I just share with you how Amazing homeschooling has been I have had to rely on the Lord every moment and it's so where I need to be!! I can't believe that homeschooling my kids is what has pulled me in to a deeper relationship with the Lord! I guess he will get your attention how ever he needs to. Finding Encouragement

I just spoke with a very dear friend of mine. This woman is so encouraging to me and I love when I get to chat with her because she sees things in me that I totally fail to see.
Everyone should have someone like that in their life. It never fails I will tell her what is going on and she just turns everything around for me I could be thinking that I did everything wrong for my kids and just like that she is showing me how God was speaking to me in that and how I did exactly what I was supposed to do!

I wish she could just be with me all the time, in my pocket but that is where the Lord comes in. He has been sooo good to me. We have been struggling so much but all I can say is Thank you Jesus! You have stolen my heart and all I want is to praise him and have my kids praise him!! Thank you dear friend for being such an awesome prayerful woman!

Tilden Park

We decided to take the day and go visit Tilden Park. It's located in Berkeley and it has a train, a little farm, merry go round, a little beach area oh and also a pony ride. But guess the only thing open the day we went was the beach. We were already prepared with food and drinks so when we got to the lake we decided to get out and go exploring around the lake. Well we left the stuff in the car because we were only going to go around the lake real quick. Well it was beautiful we found some really cool things and thank goodness daddy was there because he is all anbout picking that stuff up and showing the kids. Well we started to go on a hike and lets just say that two and a half hours later we could hardly wait to get to the car. We had forgotten the map, the drinks and food. But praise the lord the kids were so into it that not once did we hear anything about it. We saw soooo much poison oak that we said a little prayer. And guess what it's been a week and no one got a rash. Thank you Jesus! It was quite the adventure and I know we will be going back. Hopefully next time the the extras will be open. It was a beasutiful day and best of all it was free!! WOOHOOO!

Oh yeah did I also mention that we were definately not dressed for a hike!! We were very responsible parents that day!!! :)

Weight Loss Surgery

So I have researched weight loss surgery till I literally ran out of resources. The internet has been an amazing tool there are blogs with updates on their process from a recent surgery to one that was done five years ago. The information at first was completely overwhelming I didn't realize that that there were different types of surgery. You see, I have struggled with my weight my whole life but when I reached high school my life was so hectic that my weight just went up, up and up. So here I'm today still a struggle I have done every diet imaginable and I can succeed in the first three months I have even been successful in losing 60 pounds but talk to me a few months later and guess what happens. It always comes back it just likes me to much. I used to say "oh, I just really love food" well yeah I do but there was more to it than that. Food is my friend it's always there and unfortunately I used it as a comfort. So here I'm today completely not healthy. My doctors all of them, Podiatrist, GYN, physician all have given me a very hard time even told me that I was killing myself on purpose to keep this weight. So that's were the research started, I used to think that surgery is the easy way out. But after all that I have found that it is merely a tool. An extreme one to some but at this point in my life nothing else has done it for me so it has to be something that will change me completely , a new start. My insurance company requires a six month check up, nutritionist, psychologist, and a physician that deals with diabetes. I have prayed and prayed and asked the Lord for wisdom and he has provided me with so much. My husband has been amazing but of course what can you except it's Clint he is completely supportive and prays with me about it. Am I scared not anymore i'm at my highest weight and can hardly walk if this doesn't happen I will continue to yo-yo diet for the rest of my life which might not be very long. The biggest part of this I would have to say is the support of those around me and so far it's been pretty mixed. Some are on board and some just decided to not talk to me. What do you do when that happens? Pray! I felt that I needed to share this is a really big deal and I thought this would be a good way to post my journey throught it. God Bless.

Our anniversary was on July 19th and I know I'm barely posting but that's the way it goes when you have kids you tend to run a month behind!! So The H family and The F family decided to give a mexican dinner with no distraction from the kids. They took care of any request for them for the evening. They made a wonderful dinner, a delicious cake, a beautiful card, Movie , games and great company. Clint and I were celebrating 11 years of Marriage!!! I cannot believe it we have been together a total of 18 years!! My husband is amazing and I thank the Lord everyday for him and for all that he does for our family. It was a wonderful day!

Homeschooling!!

So a couple of years I decided to attend a homeschooling conference with a couple of girlfriends to get information and just check out all the cool activites and curriculum. Not realizing that this was going to be something that I was going to totally fall in love with. I was on cloud nine thinking all that I could teach my kids on my own, on my own time I was soooo excited. Well a few weeks later my high went away, my own reality set in and my thoughts changed to there is no way I can do this, I'm going to totally mess my kids up. I kept praying about it and just asking the Lord to give me wisdom and to make it clear, as black and white to homeschool or not to homeschool. So for the last year it's been a none stop struggle for me I want to.....I don't want to.... well guess what when you ask the Lord for something and he knows the desires of your heart he will make it happen whether you are ready or not and whether you believe in yourself or not. So here I am in my second week of homeschooling and I am looking forward to this week. He hasn't called me to be perfect he has called me to draw closer to him and he will lead. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to be the teacher to my precious kids.

Evan and Mia decided they wanted to help dady wash the car. They are so funny they started off totally helping then five minutes went by and all they wanted to do was sit inside the car and pretend to be driving all over the place. It was adorable I wish I would have recorded what they were saying! It's so funny though because anything Mia tells Evan to do his response is always "sure Sister sure!"They difinately have fun together.

Clint was able to get some extra time of, so we celebrated his Birthday he turned 32 on July 8th. We just went out to dinner. We had a great day together and the rest of the week we just had fun playing outside, swimming, going to parks and having picnics. We were on a mission to have a lot of fun and do a lot without any money and it worked out awesome!! It was great for the kids to be tucked in at night by daddy, since he works nights they dont get to say their night night prayers. Not to mention that it gave me an amazing break. I felt like I was on vacation. So I don't really know how much relaxing he did but it was a blessing for him to be home!!

Fireworks in Oakley!

The Oakley City Celebration was on July 5th and they were doing their fireworks show so we decided to take the kids. We went on a nice long walk that was pretty painful because first of all it was like 90 degrees outside but also my feet were killing me!!! But we survived it... I always do I just sometimes have to complain to make me feel better. Anyways, we set up our chairs and blankets right on the grass and let me tell you Evan was in complete amazement at the Noise as he called it. All he kept saying was "I see the nois mommy, I see the noise"" he is sooo funny Mia liked it so so, she gets a little nervous with loud noises so she right away went and sat with me. They did a great job with the fireworks although let me tell you that the grand finale was anything but grand!! but hey it was free and the kids did not notice. daddy was at work but not a moment went by that we didn't miss him!! :( WE Love daddy!!

Vacation Bible School 2008

Mia attended her second year of Vacation Bible School @ Cornerstone. This years theme was Friendship Week. She had a blast, everyday that she came home she wanted to listen to the CD that they gave her with the music that they learned and danced to though the week. These songs are beautiful they are special worship songs for the Lord. The theme was very special it was basically about the relationship that you can have with Jesus and that he is everyones friend . He loves everyone the same and you should love everyone as he loves you. As always Cornerstone did not dissapoint they had everything you can think of for the kids and on the last day we got a bag full of goodies. What a special week for Mia and for me this was. Next year will be Evans first year we'll how that goes I don't know if he'll let mommy leave him.

Fourth of July!!

The kids and I headed to the Hintons family for a day BBQ, Swimming, Games, and Dancing!! I love dancing we stayed up until 2 in the morning dancing we even missed the fireworks because we were grooving to the music!! It was a blessing to us to have shared that day with them . Daddy had to work at Dublin and thank goodness it was a very uneventful night!! The kids missed him soo much though it was probably the first time that they kept saying how much they missed him!!! Maybe niext year he'll be home for te celebration. The summer is going great staying busy and loving every moment of it, the kids just keep growing and growing I'm starting to really miss some of the goofy things that they used to do!! Love you guys and hope you enjoy the pictures of the kiddos!!

Strong Willed

My son had his appointment to check on the seizures that he has been having. Basically what came out of it was that he is having breath holding spells and then he is having a small seizure. We are told that it's okay they will not harm him now or later. He is just STrONG-WILLED!!!!! First let me start by saying praise god that I don't have a child with a major problem!! Secondly oh my goodness my son is so strong willed that even as a two year old he tries to talk me out of me saying "no" to him. Evan though a lot of what he says is not clear he still will sit there and point and try to get me to change my mind!! The doctor said that this might last until he is about 6 years old. (whooopie!!) She was very encouraging she said one of her sons was like that and that they do grow out of it and that he will be fine keep doing exactly what we are doing. Okay but I don't know what I'm doing. Thank you Lord for the book "Bringing up Boys" and for some amazing mommies out there that have given me some priceless advice. Thank you so much for your prayers!!!

Evans Doctors Appointment Part 2

So Evan doesn't need classes, thank goodness!!! It was complete chaos at the doctors specially when I had to hold him down to put the eye drops in! But don't ask me about the doctor he was a trip! I'm not to sure how he could really check his eyes when all Evan did was push his hand away and scream!! Thank you so much for praying for him. Now two ore appointments to go!! I got an early Mothers Day present, I wanted the movie P.S. I Love You and I got it! So I'm sooo watching it tonight even if I have to rush through my homework!! :)

Update on EVan

He has eye doctor appointment tomorrow morning...Please pray he hates doctors and I don't have any idea how they are going to test him!!!!
June is his Neurologist appointment and yes I said June, can you believe it so I pray that he does not have another episode this month!!
So far that's it I will write tomorrow and see how that appointment goes!!!

Bible Study @ Kaiser!

It was soooo awesome we went on Thursday and had our bible study at the hospital in Tonis room!!! She was such a trooper and she managed to stay awake the whole time!!! She looked great and I believe she was going home today!!! Praise God! It was a great evening a little bit of worship, prayer and just delighting ourselves in the Lord!! Precious!!!

These girls are just hilarious they walked up and down this street pushing this cart!! Gotta love them!!!

Justin turns 13!!

We went to my familias house and helped clean out a teeenage girls closet, lets just say at the end there were four black bags of clothes!!! whoa!! That's a lot of clothes, I was so proud of her for letting go! We had a blast it was ust a day of helping others and hanging out and a little bbq!!! This family has been a blessing in our lives and I thank God for bringing us together. Have you guessed who it is ............That's right it's theHINTONS!!!! Here's some pictures of our day! I know your asking yourself does Clint fall asleep everytime we go somewhere! And the answer is yes!!! He is a sleepy head has been since I can remember. In fact when we were in high school and his brother would be having a party he was the one sleeping on the couch!! He is such a good boy!! :) That' s why I LOVE HIM!!!!

Evans Doctors Appointment

Evan went to the doctor today so that we could talk to them about these episodes that he has been having. They started when he was 8 months old and would only have one every once in a while and since January it has happened three times so now I 'm a concerned parent. I was told the first time I inquired about it that it was normal for kids to cry and hold their breath and stop breathing. But now at 2 years old this answer does not cut it. My son will be crying and then stop breathing and all of the sudden be lying there limp. Clint (thank god he has been home everytime it has happened) has to blow in his face and try and stimulate him for him to come back. When he does regain consciousness he is lethargic for at least the next forty five minutes. Does this sound like something normal that a kid goes through? I think not!! So, What did we get out of the appointment: a referall to the neurologist, blood work (which I feel sorry for the nurse who has to take his blood, he hates doctors!!!) and an opthalmologist appointment. So praise god!! So my prayer is that if their is something wrong, I pray that they will find the answers and help us help him. And also I pray that they find absolutetly nothing wrong and that it never happens again!!! So I leave you tonight with that prayer request!!! Love yall!! May God Bless your evening!! XOXO

Mia and her new haircut!

So daddy took Mia to get a trim and she came home with a darling little short haircaut!! I was quite shocked that he let them cut it so short but she looked beautiful!! Although it made her look like she went from 4 years old to 9 within a few hours! Barb blessed us a few nights later with some awesome dress up clothes which Mia loves and wears all the time! So here is a picture that I took of her while she was checking herself out in the mirror she had no idea I was taking because I took it from my cell phone. She really is a little princess!! This is a girl that when she wakes up in the morning the first thing she says is not "good morning" its "is it to cold outside to wear a dress Mom" No joke that's all she ever wants to wear.

I got myself a J O B!!! The lord provided and amazing job for me the schedule works great for me and Clint, the pay is good and there is only three people in the office!!!!! The owner of the company is an older man, his daughter works there and she brings her cutie little princess who is "2" years old to work with her. I'm very thanful for the job and the fact that I can have flexibility with my schedule. It's so true that the lord knows the desires of our hearts!! The most precious thing is when I get home from only being gone maybe five hours the kids just hug and kiss on me like it's been days!! They are so precious!!

A couple of weekends ago we decided to go to Monterey and hang out at the beach all day. We went to the dunes very close to were we had camped and we had an amazing day! I of course forgot my camera and so only have one picture of Mia and Evan holding hands in the car on the way home. The funny thing about that picture is that they had both two seconds earlier thrown the biggest hizzy fit and all of the sudden they are all smile holding each others hands. That is a true brother and sister realationship!! God bless them!!

Mia was a little princess on her birthday(like always) she and her very good friend Audrey got to go to Disney on Ice with all the Princesses. It was just a small family get together for Evan's birthday! I don't he really knew what that day was but he had fun beating dad and Uncle Chuck up!! I can't believe that he is two to me he is still my baby. (that's the problem I sometimes still treat him like one!!) We went to Madera for the day(January) to surprise her she was turning 70! It was so much fun the kids had a blast. Mia and Evan got to see their cousins and they all did so great together. Being that my two are the youngest was great because they all wanted to playa nd watch over them! Which was great for us we got to visit with adults. We saw Clint's brother Beau who lives in Arizona it had been since 2005 since we saw him last. It was good times!!

It's been a long, long time now!! Mia is now 4 and Evan is now 2. I'm just going to start with what I have for this year. I changed my layout and I love it. It's Girly and it's very Spring!! I love Springtime!!!! So I finally got a new computer my old one was four years old and it was just making some crazy sounds when you turned it on. So I panicked because I have a gazillion pictures on it and I would be devistated if I lost those so I saved and Wooo hooo I got one!! We moved back in November and got settled pretty quickly I felt like for the kids it had to be back to normal pretty quick. But also during that time we put our house up for sale. We have had probably at least five offers on the house and none have gone through! So at this point we are going to be loosing our home. It's okay I have been prepared for it since August. That doesn't mean that it did not put me in a weird slump!! The Lord has been doing an amazing work in me!! I have grown so much closer to him and to my husband!! Who by the way is incredible.! So here we are in April and the kids just keep getting bigger somethings might stop but them growing never does!! I love my kids so much and love their sweet spirit! I started school in February and I'm doing very well. I just realized though that I don't get a break till I'm done with my AA which will be November of 2009. Mia started preschool and she loves it theres five kids in her class and there is only one boy!! So she gets to be girly which she loves! I'll write later!

Oakland Zoo

Went on a trip to the Oakland Zoo. The kids had a great time and really enjoyed seeing the animals.
